Development has proceeded with such hyperspeed, that we have barely had time to post any proceedings in social media, and unfortunately this devlog has been neglected. We try to put some more stuff in here, but there is so much to tell that it is hard to choose what to report first.

But in short:

We have now an official website (http://planetrism.com), and it will act as a portal to all Planetrism related material. There are links to this weblog, image galleries, YouTube-videos, Twitter, Facebook page etc.

After we implemented dynamic lighting into our VR game, we made a drastic design decisions. For the better we think. Player will have more gaming options available and more area to explore. We are currently using 25 square kilometer area as a basic area, and we even tested a 100 square kilometer area.

We have added lots of new features and gameplay, like

– a car, an electric 4×4 offroad vehicle

– robot AI. Robots act independetly, networked to colony central computer, but player has a several means to command and program those robots.

– construction system. Player may plan and manage construction projects to expand his colony. Player can freely locate and orient buildings.

– cave system. Player may find caves leading to underground, and explore them using a new flashlight.

– graphics have been tweaked a lot

– environment is more diverse, in addition to plains and hills, there are now water areas and mountains.

Until we have time to write more detailed account on these new features, you may look some videos in YouTube. They show robot AI, constructions features and examples, the car and new environment. All these features are constantly under development and work-in-progress.
